Welcome to the Sudbury Astronomy Club website.

We are a local club that gets together regularly for monthly astronomy talks (at our regular meetings), enjoy regular star parties (at our observatory and local schools), and other local astronomy related events.

This website is to reach out to new people who may be interested in joining us in our events, and also to our current members to find information on upcoming events.

Feel free to contact me at any time for more information.

Below is a list of upcoming events that are free for anyone to attend.

Meeting, May 6th:

Who can give backyard astrophotos the stunning visual impact of Images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope?

Gord Rife, Ontario’s premier astrophotographer, will reveal his latest images of deep space, and share his cutting-edge techniques.

(John Crossen, director of Buckhorn Observatory north of Peterborough, was to speak about the Moon. However, he has had to deal with some unexpected business and will present at a future meeting.)

We will start promptly at 7:30 PM in the Doran Planetarium, Laurentian University. All invited; informal Social Gathering at 7:00 PM
